Help out

Our success depends on volunteers

Volunteer your assistance
We welcome volunteers during our regular hours and special volunteer events. Volunteering is a great way to meet new people, learn bike mechanic skills, and give back to the community. Simply call or email to let us know your interest. There’s plenty to do, whether you’re a beginner or a skilled mechanic. We also have a variety of non-bicycle needs such as taking photos, social media, grant writing, cleaning, and organizing parts. We looking for event planning help to organize concerts, comedy shows, lectures, and social gatherings.

Help fund our move
Thanks so much to those who have already given! Help is still needed to get us across the finish line cover expenses to set up the shop. Every little bit helps!

NBP began in 2011 with a dream of being Newark’s community-based organization dedicated to promoting cycling as a sustainable and accessible means of transportation. Thirteen years later, we are relaunching in our 5th location with a proven success of having helped more than 4,000 people with repairs, 6,000 bikes recycled back into the community, and 8,000 volunteer visits!.
