Singing Santa Ride

The Singing Santa Bike Ride

Saturday, December 8th

Meet at NBP 3:00pm, Carol at 3:45pm

The Singing Santa Ride is hosting a benefit for the Newark Bike Project on December 8th, 2012!  Families and friends should all come out to enjoy an afternoon of riding and caroling down Main Street in Newark.   It will be a loop up to Main Street where we’ll stop at two or three locations to raise our voices (and money) for NBP!

There will be one practice rehearsal for caroling, nothing too challenging, just so that we all get our dance moves coordinated.   It’s important that folks who want to sing with us attend the practice.  We don’t need to be great, but we don’t want to be awful either. The date of this rehearsal is Sunday, November 25th at 3:00pm

The songs to be sung are:

Silent Night + Jingle Bells + Angels We Have Heard on High

Besides the carolers, we’ll need folks who can hold up a sign or two for NBP, collect contributions and explain what NBP is all about to interested passers-by.  Everyone will have time to stop and get a hot drink or cupcake from Main Street before we ride back to NBP.   And as always, we can always use more folks to join us for our “bike parade”, even if they don’t stay for the singing.

Please dress up!  You can wear a Santa suit, dress like a reindeer or elf, wear garland or wrap yourself like a present!

Just in case… the rain / snow / it’s-just-too-darn-cold date is one week later, December 15th.  If the temperature is below 40 degrees at 2 PM, if the wind is over 15 mph, if there is ice or snow on the roads, or if it is raining, the event will be postponed until Saturday 12/15, same time and place.
