Happy October 1st!
The past week was filled with many exciting events returning, including a successful WLGBTQ night on Thursday and community dinner on Saturday. Thank you to everyone that was able to make it out to support these events, we appreciated and enjoyed your company!
NBP will be having a Grand Opening Celebration!! We would like to honor and thank all those that have helped us come so far. The celebration will be Friday, October 11th from 3:30-7 PM. Snacks will be served and all ages welcome. The invite is attached to this e-mail, we hope you can stop by!
This week at the bike shop:
Tuesdays, 10/1 and 10/8: Open Shop from 6-9 PM. Come fix your bike with our knowledgeable mechanics! Donations welcome.
Wednesday, 10/2: Multi-faith Devotional Gathering from 7:30-9:30 PM – share something (a poem, story, passage, etc.) that moves you.
Thursday, 10/3: Special Event – Documentary Screening of “A Place at the Table” from 7-9:30 PM – explore the struggles of millions of Americans with hunger and some viable solutions to the problem of food insecurity. Screening will be followed by a discussion led by Dan Reyes, Coordinator of the Coalition to End Hunger.
Saturday, 10/5: Volunteer Orientation (12-1) and Shop Maintenance (12-4) – Interested in volunteering with NBP? Shop maintenance is the perfect opportunity – we’ll show you around, introduce you to our other dedicated volunteers, and get you plugged in immediately! Donations welcome.
Thursday, 10/10: Women and LGBTQ night from 7-9 PM
Friday, 10/11: Open Mic and Art Gallery night from 8-10 PM – bring an art form you would like to share, or simply come and enjoy what our local artists have to offer!
