Time is flying by, can’t believe we’re already almost into November! This weekend, we opened up shop on Saturday for the Newark Halloween Parade. We enjoyed passing candy out to all the trick-or-treating kids and sharing in the festivities (being on Main St. is great!!).
Our experiment with Wednesday hours has been a success, so we plan to continue being open 5-7 PM on Wednesdays as long as we’ve got volunteers to man it! Come join us tonight!
For all those of you interested in Delaware becoming a more bike-friendly state, check out the Newark to Wilmington Pathway Feasibility Study! As you may remember, I previously mentioned an interest meeting for this study at the WILMAPCO building. They have now released the proposed paths online, so please take a look and send in your comments/concerns/feedback to dot-public-relations@state.de.us. This project will take many years to complete, and this is only the first step, but please don’t let that dishearten you. By voicing our thoughts on and support for the project right now, we can help influence the decisions DelDot makes now about biking that will have an impact for many years to come 🙂
Check it out – NBP in the Newark Post!!
Lastly, our friends at the Urban Bike Project are looking for more volunteer help at their open shop nights on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, from 6:30-9 PM. I know many of you live in Newark, but if you’re ever free on a Thursday evening, you should go check them out!
