Happy Snow Day!!!
I hope you’ve all been enjoying the bountiful snow we’ve had the past few days! If you’re in the area, stop by and check out our holiday bike-themed window display, our volunteers put a lot of time and love into it 🙂
This past week we had our last WLGBT night of the semester…that being said, the fun is not over!! We are looking for a core group of individuals interested in becoming our core WLGBT mechanics group. These individuals would help run the WLGBT nights at the bike shop – if you’re interested, please e-mail training@newarkbikeproject.org! We plan to do trainings during the next couple months.
This week at NBP:
Tuesdays, 12/10 and 12/17: Open Shop from 6-9 PM. Come fix your bike with our knowledgeable mechanics! Donations welcome.
Wednesdays, 12/11 and 12/18: Special Shop Hours 5-7 PM – Open for sales and donations, and limited DIY repairs. Volunteers welcome, no experience necessary!
Saturday, 12/21: Volunteer Orientation (12-1) and Shop Maintenance (12-4) – Interested in volunteering with NBP? Shop maintenance is the perfect opportunity – we’ll show you around, introduce you to our other dedicated volunteers, and get you plugged in immediately! Donations welcome. *After shop, we’ll supply some pizza and beverages for volunteers :)*
Stay warm and stay safe – we’ve got free bike lights again at the bike shop, so come get them!
