Give your old bike a new life

Rather than let an unused bike clutter your garage or end up in a landfill, let us refurbish it for a new life! Our volunteers will either refurbish it or strip it down for parts. We especially appreciate adult bikes that you’ve stored indoors.

Spread joy

Free bikes will be given away upon referral from a social service agency to those who need transportation to work, services or groceries, or for exercise to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Others will be sold to the community to raise funds for the shop and programs like bicycle mechanics classes, youth programs, and music events.

Newark Bike Project is a 501(c)(3) charitable non-profit organization, Donations, both bicycles and financial, are tax-deductible. Individuals may drop off bikes at Newark Bike Project or we can arrange for pick-up at your business or organization.
